Next-Generation Dodge Durango

An extremely popular SUV in the U.S. is the Dodge Durango which has been since 1998 and continues to hold that title today. There is exciting news because a brand new Durango is set for 2026 and consumers are ecstatic. The next-generation Dodge Durango will be built at the Detroit Assembly Complex alongside the Jeep Grand Cherokee. It’s expected the new Durango will have an internal combustion engine (ICE) and a BEV Powertrain as options to pick from.

A sneak peek into the next-generation Durango was given back in March and it showcased as a three-row SUV with a sportier design and will most likely keep the Durango nameplate. This impressive SUV will be the second all-electric vehicle from the Dodge brand, coming after the Dodge Charger Daytona. At this time, there isn’t a lot to go on but hopefully, more information will come out about this exciting and mysterious new car.

Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept

Many car brands are quickly transitioning to selling electric cars and trying to keep up with the competition. Dodge plans to reveal their first-ever electrified muscle cars to their consumers. The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept will be used in helping build the future of the Dodge brand as they move into the journey of electrification. At the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dodge presents the Banshee-powered battery-electric muscle car and six other “Last Call” 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger special edition vehicles.

During SEMA, it was announced for nine possible powertrain outputs for the electric muscle car concept. There will be three battery-electric power levels to be introduced at SEMA. Dodge has a specific way they will approach the electrified performance, with a 400-volt system output levels of 340 kilowatts (456 hp) and 440 kilowatts (590 hp) and possibly a power-level 800-volt SRT Banshee powertrain package.

The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept will grab anyone’s attention with its brand-new tri-coat Stryker Red exterior hue. Dodge wanted to celebrate the Stage 2 Banshee performance upgrade by adding a new exterior paint color. The muscle car also features a “Stage 2” fender badge and 18-inch Direct Connection lightweight carbon-fiber wheels. For the Dodge concept vehicle, there will be nine different wheel combinations and Direct Connection upgrade levels.
