A New Electric Chrysler Sedan Could Be Entering The EV Game

The Chrysler brand is ready to embark on its new electric future by potentially showcasing a new all-electric sedan. This new journey of entering into the EV world comes after the automaker notified the public about the Chrysler 300 model coming to an end. There is a chance that Chrysler may even bring back old names from previous years to use for these potential new EV models, like how they did with the Airflow Concept.
This potential new sedan may be built at the Windsor Assembly Plant alongside the all-new electric Dodge Charger Daytona sharing the 800-volt system. A big perk that could come with the Chrysler electric sedan is the STLA Smart Cockpit, STLA Brain, and STLA Autodrive. This new all-electric Chrysler vehicle is a major deal because it can redesign the brand’s identity and help bring the brand to the top of its game.
Chrysler Airflow Concept BEV
The Chrysler brand is ready to revive the name for a concept BEV that could change its future forever. Chrysler announced that by 2028, there will be an all-EV lineup, and to initiate that is the Airflow Concept vehicle. This concept vehicle has 118-kWh battery packs, Level 3 independent driving, and STLA SmartCockpit wiring. There have been little whispers that the actual name for this new SUV won’t be called Airflow, but there isn’t much information to go on for more details.
Chrysler Futuristic Interior
There hasn’t been much news from the Chrysler brand up until now. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, there was a showing of a new concept for a brand new interior for future Chrysler products. This new futuristic concept would be called the Synthesis Cockpit Demonstrator and have a two-seater cabin, a futuristic dashboard, and a state-of-the-art infotainment system.
Consumers will get a sneak peek into this design because it will be similar to Chrysler’s EVs, which are expected for 2025. What sticks out about the interior of this vehicle is the two substantial 37.2-inch dashboard screens. The screens have a software system that Chrysler refers to as STLA Smart Cockpit, offering a virtual assistant, many display modes, and over-the-air updates.
The infotainment system is enhanced for the Level 3 driving system, which is called STLA AutoDrive, and the goal of this system is to offer hands-free driving for future cars. More interior features inside the vehicle include walnut flooring, recycled plastics, and other materials, and the shape of the inside resembles boat-like features. It’s expected to see similarities between this futuristic car and the Chrysler Airflow concept car. The electric SUV model is expected to qualify for Chrysler’s new EV model, which will be showcased in 2025, and eventually, Chrysler will expand its EV lineup by 2028.
Chrysler Entering EV Game
So many car manufacturers are competing against one another to produce the best electric vehicles. It seems that everyone’s goal is to compete with Tesla and even surpass Tesla in the EV game. The Chrysler CEO, Chris Feuell, thinks that Chrysler is the next car brand to beat Tesla. Chrysler is a big name in the auto industry, along with Ford and GM for American automakers.
The auto industry is under a significant transition as automakers try to keep up with Tesla and prove themselves worthy to be a strong competitor in the future of electric vehicles. The Chrysler Pacifica offers the first brand under Stellantis coverage to offer a plug-in hybrid model, with no full EVs yet. Chrysler announced plans for their EV future last January to have a fully electric vehicle lineup by 2028. According to the automaker, the Airflow EV concept is what the future looks like for Chrysler with great digital technology, a substantial range (up to 400 miles), and level 3 autonomous driving capabilities.
