A New Redesign Is Coming To The Chrysler Pacifica

Chrysler Pacifica

With the Chrysler 300 sedan ending, it puts the limelight on the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. Consumers don’t have to worry because the Pacifica isn’t going anywhere and plans to get a major refresh. It doesn’t seem like a refresh will come for a couple of years for the new Pacifica and many of the specific details are still unknown.

The Chrysler brand is working hard to focus on releasing its first EV model, which could be the “Airflow Concept” (may not be the official name) sometime in 2025. The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica still offers a standard V-6 and plug-in hybrid powertrain, but that may change for the newer models. There is talk circling that the latest refresh could come to an all-electric Pacifica, but only time will tell.

2024 Chrysler Pacifica/Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid

Two new minivans joining the Chrysler lineup are the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica and the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid. A big bonus is that the Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid qualifies for a $7,500 federal tax credit. The Pacifica features a luxurious interior, offers all-wheel-drive (AWD), a large sunroof, and seats up to eight passengers.

As for the plug-in hybrid model, it’s the first hybrid minivan, gets 80 MPGe in electric-only mode, and an improved version of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 gas engine. A few new features for the 2024 models include: the Pacifica Pinnacle gets a new interior color, and two new exterior shades and the Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid will come in two trims. Chrysler will forever be known for producing some of the best minivans, and the Pacifica/Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid are a perfect example.

Chrysler Airflow Concept

The Chrysler brand is ready to revive the name for a concept BEV that could change its future forever. Chrysler announced that by 2028, there will be an all-EV lineup, and to initiate that is the Airflow Concept vehicle. This concept vehicle has 118-kWh battery packs, Level 3 independent driving, and STLA SmartCockpit wiring. There have been little whispers that the actual name for this new SUV won’t be called Airflow, but there isn’t much information to go on for more details.

Chrysler Entering EV Game

So many car manufacturers are competing against one another to produce the best electric vehicles. It seems that everyone’s goal is to compete with Tesla and even surpass Tesla in the EV game. The Chrysler CEO, Chris Feuell, thinks that Chrysler is the next car brand to beat Tesla. Chrysler is a big name in the auto industry, along with Ford and GM for American automakers.

The auto industry is under a significant transition as automakers try to keep up with Tesla and prove themselves worthy to be a strong competitor in the future of electric vehicles. The Chrysler Pacifica offers the first brand under Stellantis coverage to offer a plug-in hybrid model, with no full EVs yet. Chrysler announced plans for their EV future last January to have a fully electric vehicle lineup by 2028. According to the automaker, the Airflow EV concept is what the future looks like for Chrysler with great digital technology, a substantial range (up to 400 miles), and level 3 autonomous driving capabilities.
