Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept
Many car brands are quickly moving to selling electric vehicles and working to keep up with the competition. Dodge is working hard to reveal their first electrified muscle cars to consumers. The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept will be used in helping build the future of the Dodge brand as they begin their journey of electrification. At the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dodge showcased the Banshee-powered battery-electric muscle car and six other “Last Call” 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger special edition vehicles.
During SEMA, it was announced for nine possible powertrain outputs for the electric muscle car concept. There will be three battery-electric power levels to be introduced at SEMA. Dodge has a specific way they will approach the electrified performance, with a 400-volt system output levels of 340 kilowatts (456 hp) and 440 kilowatts (590 hp) and possibly a power-level 800-volt SRT Banshee powertrain package.
The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept will grab anyone’s attention with its brand-new tri-coat Stryker Red exterior hue. Dodge wanted to celebrate the Stage 2 Banshee performance upgrade by adding a new exterior paint color. The muscle car also features a “Stage 2” fender badge and 18-inch Direct Connection lightweight carbon-fiber wheels. The Dodge concept vehicle will have nine different wheel combinations and Direct Connection upgrade levels.
The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept doesn’t come out until 2024, but that doesn’t mean that the excitement of this car is any less. Inside the Daytona, SRT is an 800-volt electrical architecture Banshee. This means the vehicle charges much faster because the voltage is higher. Dodge added an exhaust system in the BEV that voices a 126 dB roar, precisely what the vehicle drivers will want. A goal for this new car will be to have an exhaust system that is just as loud as the Dodge Hellcat and faster.
Come look inside this new EV and be amazed by the new and improved sleek-looking steering wheel, which is flat on top and the bottom. In a true Dodge fashion, a button on the wheel delivers a jolt to increase horsepower for a fast burst of acceleration. To access the start button, there is a cap that flips up, and with another touch of a button on the wheel, the driver can take part in Auto, Sport, and Drag modes.
